Build Winning Projects Before Constructions Begins 

At PNG Builders, successful projects start long before ground is broken. Our Estimators are trusted advisors who help clients transform ideas into achievable construction solutions by developing accurate budgets, identifying opportunities, and building confidence from the earliest stages of a project.

Working closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams, you’ll play a key role in securing new work while helping shape projects across healthcare, education, entertainment, aerospace, commercial, and technology markets.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare accurate conceptual and detailed construction estimates for negotiated and competitive bids
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop complete scopes of work
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client presentations
• Prepare bid packages, clarifications, exclusions, and project narratives
• Collaborate with Project Managers to develop project schedules and construction approaches
• Support value engineering efforts and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Communicate with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners throughout the preconstruction process
• Participate in project handoffs to operations following successful awards

• Risks and opportunities are identified early in the estimating process

• The estimating team consistently delivers competitive, profitable proposals

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Five or more years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with construction estimating software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with negotiated work, design-build, and conceptual estimating
• Knowledge of healthcare, commercial, education, entertainment, or institutional construction
• Experience preparing value engineering recommendations
• Strong subcontractor and client relationship management skills
