Project Update | Steel Erection at Camellia Court Medical Office Building 2

Camellia Court MOB2 is going vertical! Steel erection began last month and is making great strides. The future 47,000 s.f. medical office building for owner Allied Pacific IPA will be a 2-story MOB above subterranean parking level.

Captured in the video on our LinkedIn page is roughly 1/3 progress of the steel erection phase. Looking forward to the steel topping out ceremony!

Project Update | Lancaster Area Battery Facility

Project Update | This week our team wrapped up the Lancaster Area Battery project - a 127 MW, 4-Hour (508MWh) stand-alone battery energy storage system. Once energized, it will have the capacity to power roughly 101,600 homes a day in Southern California.

As the EPC, PNG's responsibilities included design, engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and installation of all equipment.

Job well done to the team on its completion on time and under
budget, as well as a thank you to our Safety Strong team for establishing a culture that prioritizes safety and wellness for everyone on site.

Project Update | Armenian American Museum

PROJECT UPDATE | Phase 1 milestone completed! It was a perfect day for a slab-on-grade concrete pour at the future site of the Armenian American Museum in Glendale, California. This Phase 1 Concrete Pour milestone consisted of 500 cubic yards of concrete – 53 trucks worth.

The boom used on-site spanned an impressive 63 meters. All concrete columns are in, shotcrete walls are up, as well as CMU structural walls are in place for future elevators/stairwells.

Phase 2 of the pour will be completed in the coming weeks, and crews will mobilize to commence to the next stage of shoring and forming for the museum deck.

Thank you to our amazing client, Armenian American Museum, for entrusting this special project with PNG Builders, and a huge thank you to Klorman Construction for performing concrete!

Grand Opening of Union Rescue Mission Angeles House

Grand Opening | Angeles House has officially opened its doors! Union Rescue Mission - Los Angeles has been in full operation, serving families in need and giving them a safe place for a fresh start.

Back in January of 2019, PNG Builders submitted our Request for Proposal on this special project. After roughly a year of preconstruction, Union Rescue Mission, PDA Architects/HED, and PNG Builders celebrated the Ground Breaking Ceremony in February 2020 – mere weeks before the national stay-at-home order rolled out across the nation. It goes without saying that this project saw a few challenges.

Fast forward to April 2022, PNG couldn’t be prouder of the team who carried this project past the finish line.

Thank you to Union Rescue Mission - Los Angeles for choosing PNG Builders as your general contractor.

Special thanks to our amazing project management team:

Project Update | OneLegacy Headquarters

Project Update | In the home stretch! OneLegacy's new headquarters in Azusa is moving along nicely and in the final stages. Striping on the helipad was completed today. Progress in the interior spaces includes finishes, carpet, and tile. Over the next few weeks, the team will continue site improvement and courtyard landscaping, paving, and decorative stone finishes in the Healing Garden. Great job, team!

Project Flashback | Spacecraft Assembly Facility High Bay

Did you know? Back in 2007, PNG Builders built the Spacecraft Assembly Facility High Bay – the very facility where the James Webb Telescope was assembled, built, and tested. Just last December, satellite and telescope equipment that was built within these very walls was launched into space – today giving us the most incredible photography of our solar system and beyond.

This ground-up facility, built in just thirteen months, was constructed specifically for the James Webb Space Telescope. Project phases included engineering, plan check, permitting, and construction. The work included a 90-foot-tall, 3,500 s.f. Satellite High-Bay ISO 4 Cleanroom addition and seismic rehabilitation.

Celebrating Women at PNG Builders

In March we get to celebrate Women's History Month, International Women's Day, and Women in Construction Week!

PNG Builders is incredibly proud to say that 36% of our Employee-Owners are women – impressive, considering the fact that in 2020 only 10% of the construction industry workforce was made up of women.

We want to extend our appreciation and admiration for all the women of the past who took a bold step into the construction industry to shake things up. Today, we recognize the amazing women who go above and beyond any challenge, and who work to continually shape and improve the industry as we know it today.
